Ludacris: I’m Top 5 Dead Or Alive
June 30th, 2008Ludacris sat down with Mixtape Monday on MTV and had some words to say regarding their previous Hottest MC’s list. Check out what he had to say below.
Cris didn’t take too kindly to being left off of the “Hottest MCs in the Game” list two times in a row, but one thing the Mixtape Monday family can agree on is that Luda has been one of the most consistent lyricists for years. And despite his sometimes jolly demeanor and outrageous eye candy in videos, you have to take the ATL giant seriously when it comes to ripping that mic.
You can check out the rest of the article from MTV here. I can’t wait until Luda drops his next album Theater Of The Mind in the fall. His upcoming mixtape with DJ Drama should be dropping soon so keep an eye out for that.

Obie Trice Off Of Shady Records
June 30th, 2008
Detroit’s Obie Trice has left Shady Records after eight years and two albums, AllHipHop.com has confirmed today (Jun 30).
He is currently working on his third album, while solidifying a new situation for his own imprint.
“Obie and Shady were moving in different directions,” the 30-year-old rapper’s manager Terry Wilson tells AllHipHop.com. “But he still has a great relationship with Shady Records. He has some big plans for his World Wide Hustle label.”
It’s been awhile since we’ve seen some serious material from Obie so hopefully he’ll be able to find himself a home and put out some fire tracks. You can check out the rest of the article here and then check out the track he dropped called The Giant discussing the whole situation.

Amy Winehouse Calls Out Kanye
June 29th, 2008
Yesterday June 28th at the UK Glastonbury Festival, singer Amy Winehouse took an unexpected shot at Kanye West.
During Winehouse’s set, the controversial singer addressed Kanye in the midst of performing “Some Unholy War.” Festival attendees are reporting she improvised the lyrics to state “At least I’m not opening for a cunt like Kanye.”
Damn, Amy is going at Kanye hard. Of course Mr. West responded late last night and this is what he had to say on his blog:
“This Just In…Amy Winehouse Hates Me!!! Now I’ve Really Made It!!! LOL!!!!”
