Some major changes have been happening to tidal of late. They have gotten exclusive album releases from the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, and Kanye West, which has had a lot of positive impact on the application, which rose to its highest point in the iTunes store. The application has added a million trial members since mid-February. The company has not been without its fair share of controversy; chief executives have been quitting on after the other for some years. Sources indicate that Dez Perez is the force behind the manner in which the company has stayed put together, despite the hard times.

Desiree Perez has been a close associate of Jay-Z for the past two decades. She and her husband, OG have been managing Tidal and the sister company, Roc Nation. Perez is a very tough negotiator. She is also excellent with numbers. Some of the deals that she has negotiated include the Beyonce formation stadium tour and the Rihanna Samsung deal.
