Robert Ivy is an author, editor and a practicing architect. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English, he proceeded to pursue a Master of Architecture Degree at Tulane University. Before he ventured fully to architecture, he worked as an officer in the Navy.

As an editor in chief of the architectural journal, he aided its growth to become the most read article in the world. Under his leadership, the company was awarded an infinite number of awards including a prestigious National Magazine Award. His biography showcases the work of a devoted America Architect.

He is also the Chief Executive Officer of the American Institute of Architects that advocates for public policies which promote economic strength. Also, it consistently works to create valuable, secure and sustainable buildings that form a good neighborhood and community.

Since his tenure at the company, he has enlarged the global presence and influence of the company building it to its greatest level of membership in history. The company also gives back to the community by finding solutions to pressures in the society.

The most important accolade he has received so far is the Noel Polk Lifetime Achievement Award by the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters.

This marked a first time for an architect to be given such a prestigious award making him one of the seven people to receive the award. The award appreciates artists whose work creates, shows, and supports the extraordinary nature of arts. Robert Ivy has been considered the most accessible architect in Mississippi.

The president of the American Institute of Architects also named Robert Ivy is a commendable ambassador of the architects’ occupation. He crowned his personal and proficient accomplishments.
