Mr. West has been quite busy lately preparing to release his upcoming album. Last night, Kanye publicly debuted his new album, 808s & Heartbreak, at the Ace Gallery in Los Angeles via a collaboration with Italian artist Vanessa Beecroft.
As for album: yes, it’s almost entirely sung by West, aside from one verse by Young Jeezy on “Amazing” and a duet with Lil Wayne; yes, it is sung almost entirely through Auto-Tune; yes, some people are not going to be sure what to make of it, but we applaud West’s decision to step off a creative ledge wearing a jetpack that no one else is sure will actually work.
FADER published a great piece from the listening event that goes more into detail about the event and the album, check it out and then hit the jump to see Ye’ performing on Jimmy Kimmel.
Buckshot has been released from the hospital, and is now resting at his home in Brooklyn, NY. Upon returning from a 3 week European Tour last week, the Black Moon and Boot Camp Clik frontman suffered a series of seizures. While it’s still unclear what caused the seizures, Doctors believe that Buckshot was physically drained and became severely dehydrated to the extent that caused his body to shut down and suffer 9 seizures in less than 1 day. In a statement this morning, Buckshot said:
“I want to thank all the fans who called and wrote emails extending their well wishes and prayers. All the support helped me recover that much quicker.”
Reporters caught him outside the hospital with the Duck Down Man moments after leaving the Hospital.

“I’ve been doing an album with Lil Wayne,” T-Pain told MTV News. “It’s called T-Wayne: The Project. It’s basically just going to be an array of things, just a visual love. The two artists you’ve seen collaborate with everyone except each other. When you see us together, it’s crazy right now. We already have what we’ve done. We’re gonna keep going till they tell us to stop. We might even put out a mixtape. We’ve got so many songs that we just might do a T-Wayne mixtape too.”
I’m sure we’ll be seeing the mixtape before too long. All this T-Pain and Wayne ish’ is gonna be so fire.
