The Kennedy Center YouTube channel posted this beautiful tribute to our beloved Brian, with clips back from 2007 when he received the official Kennedy Center honor. Rest in peace, our 20th century Mozart

I have no Beach Boys friends in real life and got made fun of at school as a kid for being a Beach Boys fan, but Brian’s music was always there to be my friend when no one else wanted to and eased my loneliness

His music has helped me during the darkest moments of my life, and was always there to comfort me when I was alone, depressed, lonely, on the verge of ending it all, and felt misunderstood in this world as a high-functioning autistic person

Currently listening to a playlist of my favorite BB songs in Brian’s honor and this one came up. I’ll never forget the first time I heard this masterpiece when I was 10 or 11. It utterly blew me away and I was a fan for life ever since. RIP Brian, and thank you
